Kizan David, a multiple All-American performer on the Lincoln men’s track & field team, was named the salutatorian of Lincoln University’s spring graduation class. David, the 2021 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor Scholar Athlete of the Year, was one of 33 Blue Tiger student-athletes who graduated on Saturday (May 10).
In four years as an athlete on the Lincoln track & field team, David earned 10 All-American awards, including finishing as the national champion in the indoor long jump in 2021. In three events, David finished as the national runner-up: the 2021 indoor triple jump, the 2021 outdoor long jump and the 2022 outdoor long jump.
In 2021, David was selected as the MIAA Male Winter Student-Athlete of the Year, the highest award bestowed by the MIAA and one that takes into consideration both academic and athletic performance.
David earned three Academic All-American awards as well as three Academic All-District first team honors during his time at Lincoln, and he is an eight-time member of the MIAA Honor Roll as well as an eight-time recipient of the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award.
David, a mathematics major, graduated Summa Cum Laude.
