The Boone County Fire Protection District will show off it’s newest facility at a grand opening for Station 8 this afternoon.

Community members can tour the facility, meet local firefighters, and see the equipment used to protect the area.

The event is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. located at 5905 S. Route K in Columbia.

The event is open to all residents.
