The CAC All-Conference softball team was announced today. Olivia Cross of Cairo was named the conference MVP.
The first team was dominated by Glasgow, who had 6 players honored including Brooklyn Morris (sr), Hailey Monnig (sr), Aly Pretnzler (jr), Kenley Strodtman (fr), Halle Fuemmeler (sr) and Karah Graves (jr).
Joining Cross as representatives of Cairo were junior Chloe Brumley and seniors Kylee Dodge and Mallori Hankins on the first team with junior Jaycee David and senior Melia Gittemeier on Honorable Mention.
Lily Chitwood represented New Franklin on the first team along with Canna Jennings, and Honorable Mention selectee Skylar Shaw.
Slater was represented by junior Madison Bolling on the first team and Honorable Mention honoree’s Libby Smith (sr) and Kaylee Bolling.
Sturgeon senior Kinslee Pollard garnered first team honors while teammates Zoey Spencer (sr), Aydra Ladyman (soph), and Peyton Doton (fr) were tabbed to the Honorable Mention Team.
Seniors Jocelyn Curtis and Peyton Schafer from Community R-6 were tabbed to first team honors while Maci Poindexter was an Honorable Mention player.
Madison had three players on the Honorable Mention team. All three were juniors and they included Kaylee Knight, Lizzy Dameron, and Siena Brush.
