Federal prosecutors have filed charges against a Chinese national accused of illegally photographing the Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
Authorities say 35-year-old Qilin Wu was spotted near the base on December 2nd, 2025, claiming he traveled from Boston to see the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber.
Investigators later found Wu had taken 18 photos and videos of the base’s perimeter, gates, and military equipment.
Court records show Wu entered the U.S. illegally in 2023 and was awaiting immigration proceedings.
Wu is now in federal custody, with a hearing set for January 12th in Kansas City.
If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison.
