Clarence Cannon names All-Stars in Softball

The Clarence Cannon Conference released its All-Conference team on Wednesday afternoon, with Macon and Centralia tying for a CCC-high seven selections.

Highland had six selections, Palmyra and Monroe City had four, Clark County had three and South Shelby had two.

Centralia head coach Liz Bostick was named CCC Coach of the Year and Centralia junior Jaylynn Brown was named CCC Player of the Year. The Lady Panthers won the conference crown for the third season in a row.

First team pitchers were Macon senior Payton Weimer and Brown of Centralia, with Highland senior Bailie Crist and Centralia sophomore Ealynne Bostick as first team catchers.

The first team infield consisted of Centralia senior Madi Johnson, Macon senior Reece Barnett, Highland junior Keera Rothweiler and Highland senior Addy Abell.

First team outfielder selections included Centralia senior Kassena Ridgel, Highland junior Hannah Ritterbusch and Macon freshman Auburn Glover.

For utility and designated players, Centralia senior Cora King was first team.

Making the second team as pitchers were Highland senior Abby Lay and Clark County junior Grace Parker, with Second team catchers are Clark County freshman Cabell Palmer and Macon sophomore Taegan Nelson.

Second team outfielder selections included Centralia sophomore Blakely VanDyke, Macon sophomore Trinity Gooding and Monroe City sophomore Camryn Dyer.

The second team infield consisted of Clark County senior Hayden West, Macon freshman Raleigh Weimer, Monroe City junior Bradi Keller and Palmyra senior Jerzey Ramey.

For utility and designated players, Highland freshman Corrine Brinkley was second team.

Honorable mention pitchers are South Shelby senior Kylie Million and Palmyra freshman Zola Meyers, with South Shelby senior Bella Cook was an honorable mention selection as catcher.

The infield honorable mention selections were Centralia sophomore Claire Page, Monroe City freshman Madisyn Adams and Palmyra junior Marney Plunkett.

Monroe City junior Emily Spalding and Palmyra sophomore Avery Wisehart were honorable mention outfielder selections.

For utility and designated players, Macon sophomore Allison Shoemaker was an honorable mention.
