According the Cole County Fire Protection District, an early evening accident near St. Thomas yesterday (Tuesday), injured two people.

The two-vehicle accident happened about 5:30 p.m. and responding crews saw one vehicle was on its side in the middle of the road, while a second vehicle was in a ditch.

One patient was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, while the other was flown by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.
