A Columbia man is facing two felonies and a misdemeanor after allegedly admitting to stealing three generators from Mizzou football tailgates during the 2025 season.
Reginald Dent, 64, was charged with two counts of stealing more than $750 and one count of misdemeanor stealing.
Court documents say the generators were valued at $600, $1,200, and $2,200.
Police say Dent told investigators he believed tailgaters left the items for the taking and that he’s taken items like coolers for years.
He also allegedly confessed to giving the generators to a former supervisor and that supervisor’s son.
No further details were provided about the ongoing investigation or any potential motive.
