A pedestrian was hit and killed by a 2014 Peterbilt 389 semi late (Tuesday) last night on Interstate-70.

According to a post on X from MSHP Troop F, a 44-year-old Columbia man , who was walking in the left lane of I-70 at the 137 mile marker, was hit just before 10 p.m. by an eastbound semi truck.

The accident happened near the county line between Boone and Callaway counties.

According to the crash report, the driver of the semi was a 51-year-old man from Buchanan, Tennessee,
