A Columbia teen has been charged with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon in the May shooting that left an unidentified 18-year-old Columbia teen dead.
The shooting happened just outside the city limits, when the teen suspect and the victim met up as part of two groups to watch two youths fight in the 1300 block of North Frideriki Drive.
Anthony K. Marine, who was a 16-year-old at the time of the shooting, admitted to a detective that he and his friends had gathered to watch a fight when he shot another teen in the chest, and then ran from the scene.
According to a probable cause statement, authorities also have a video of Marine at the scene, firing a shot at the teen and running away.
