More than 200 new jobs are expected in Columbia soon, as Schneider Electric will hold groundbreaking ceremonies this (Tuesday) morning for a major expansion project.

The ceremony will be in front of the Schneider Electric building at 4800 Paris Rd. from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

This expansion project comes after an investment of more than $700 million to support the “fast-growing energy and AI sectors,” according to a press release.
