Coyote Hill celebrated a ribbon-cutting and open house yesterday for its new Family Center.
The foster care organization hopes the facility will build community and strengthen support for foster families.
Boone County has about 300 children in foster care but only around 180 homes, and officials say closing that gap is a key goal.
The center plans to add a playground for family events and still needs to raise more than $1 million to fully pay off the project.
Coyote Hill also hopes to expand its reach across Missouri.
