The two people who were shot last week in the 1100 block of Cordell Avenue in Jefferson City have both died.

According to Cole County Prosecuting Attorney Locke Thompson, 39-year-old Shawna Davis and 31-year-old Sofie Mulcahey, both died from injuries in an early morning shooting on October 7th.

Thompson said Tuesday that assault charges filed against 40-year-old Michael Davis of Jefferson City have been upgraded to two counts of first-degree murder.
