Delay on Bear Creek Bridge in Glasgow

Unforeseen circumstances are delaying the construction of a new bridge on Missouri Highway 5 over Bear Creek in Glasgow. Originally, MoDot expected the project, which started in March, to wrap up this month, but they have extended the project timeline due to an underground spring and a deteriorated roadway foundation.

The project is now expected to continue through October, according to a news release from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The road will remain narrowed to one lane with temporary signals. The 11-foot, 2-inch width restriction and reduced speeds will also remain.
