A double-fatality accident in Cooper County yesterday afternoon. It happened on Missouri 87 just north of I-70 near Hail Ridge Court at 3:48pm.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2014 Ford Escape driven by a 24-year-old Boonville man was traveling northbound on Missouri 87 when it crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2008 Ford F150, driven by a 77-year-old Boonville man head-on.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene by Cooper County Coroner Chris Howard.
