A fatal crash in Montgomery County Friday morning claimed the life of a 76-year-old Elsberry man.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened around 10:45 a.m. at Route E and Route DD.

Investigators say the man’s 2015 Chevrolet 1500 pulled into the path of a northbound 1998 Western Star truck. The truck struck the driver’s side of the pickup.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, The 77-year-old truck driver from Silex suffered minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Troy.
