A fatality accident Friday night in Jefferson City. It happened in the 3600 block US Hwy 50 West, at 6:54 pm, when a 32-year-old Jefferson City male, operating an electric scooter was hit and killed.

A 2018 Chevrolet SUV was westbound on Highway 50, when the man on an electric scooter crossed the grass median northbound, and entered the westbound lanes of Highway 50, continuing northbound. The scooter and vehicle collided. The operator of the scooter sustained fatal injuries from the crash.
