Finch to Face Initial Hearing

A Montgomery City woman was arrested yesterday and accused of 24 criminal charges following a year-long investigation.

Joann Finch was charged with four counts of First Degree Child Molestation, four counts of Second Degree Child Molestation, six counts of Statutory Sodomy, two counts of statutory rape.

The investigation began in February of 2024 and is in relation to events from 2021 to 2024, when a victim told law enforcement that Finch had abused them since they were twelve years old in 2021.

Finch was also charged with one count each of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Enticement of a Child, Incest, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Attempts to Furnish Pornographic Material.

Finch is being held in the Montgomery County Jail without bond and her initial appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 14th, at 1 p.m.
