A Fulton man has been arrested on charges related to a 2005 sexual assault of a 15-year-old.

48-year-old Thomas Eugene Harris, was charged Wednesday with second-degree statutory rape and second-degree statutory sodomy after a survivor came forward to investigators with details of multiple encounters in Fulton when she was 15.

Harris reportedly told police he believed she was 16 and claimed he got “parental consent” from someone listed as a witness in court documents, The witness told investigators they knew about the incidents, according to the probable cause statement.

Authorities noted Harris worked around young females at a local Fulton restaurant before his arrest.

He is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond.
