A 23-year-old Fulton man faces charges of murder in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, a felon in possession of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon in a Sunday shooting at The Greens Apartments in Columbia.

James Lamont Caldwell Jr, was arrested after the shooting in the 4800 block of Clark Lane last night, left three people with life-threatening injuries. One of the three, 21-year-old Brianna N. Hawkins, of Fulton, died at the hospital of her injuries.

The Columbia Police Department asks for patience for those living in the area, as they continue to investigate the scene.
