A Jefferson City woman accused of the murder of a 4-year-old boy has been deemed competent to stand trial.

Quatavia Givens is charged with First Degree Murder, child abuse, first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and abandonment of a corpse in relation to the death of Darnell Gray on October 25, 2018.

After being deemed competent, Givens will stay in the custody of the Department of Mental Health until further notice while she waits for her new trial date to be scheduled.
