Columbia Fire personnel responded to a structure fire Wednesday night at 11:53 p.m., in the 1300 block of Godas Drive.

Columbia Fire arrived within four minutes to find a duplex with smoke showing from an attached garage. Upon arrival, crews made entry into the structure, and were able to contain the fire to the garage, and get it under control within 20 minutes. However, the connected unit sustained smoke damage.

There were no occupants in the affected unit and residents in the adjoining side of the duplex were able to safely exit the structure.

There were no injuries reported.

The Columbia Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
