Catherine L. Hanaway was sworn in as Missouri’s 45th Attorney General on Monday. She was sworn in at 10 a.m. in a private ceremony at the Missouri Supreme Court Building.

Hanaway took the oath of office, which was administered by Ginger K. Gooch, Hanaway’s former law partner and a judge on the Supreme Court of Missouri.

She is the first woman to hold the position in Missouri.
