Hawley advocates for Ft Wood to host ICE training

If U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has his way Ft Leonard Wood will become a Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents

Hawley sent a letter, dated last Friday, to Trump administration officials promoting the Fort as a suitable place to train future ICE agents, stating the fort “has the infrastructure, experience, and space to support the rapid expansion of ICE’s critical immigration enforcement workforce.”

It was addressed to Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and acting ICE director Todd Lyons.

The Center of Excellence at Fort Leonard Wood currently trains more than 75,000 individuals annually.
