The following is a press release from the Callaway County Sheriff’ Office.

In regards to the April 13. 2025 shooting at Hunter Lane Apartments, just outside Holts Summit, MO.

Investigators with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office have been continuing their investigation.

As part of an investigation of this type you have to either prove or disprove a lot of statements made by parties involved.

On April 17, 2025, Investigators submitted a Statement of Probable Cause to the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney who in turn requested the court to issue a warrant.

On April 18, 2025, Heather M. Smith was located and arrested without incident. Smith was transported to the Callaway County Jail where she is being held on the no bond warrant.
