A 68-year-old Holts Summit man died in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 63 in Callaway County yesterday.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. the crash occurred at 2:30 pm as a 2019 Kenworth tractor-trailer – driven by an 82-year-old Steedman man – entered northbound Highway 63 from Renz Farm Road.

The Holts Summit man, driving a 2001 Ford Expedition, rear-ended the trailer of the Kenworth and spun counter clockwise coming to rest underneath the semi.

The Ford Expedition was totaled, while the Kenworth had minor damage, according to the report says. The driver of the Kenworth had no reported injuries.

The man was not wearing a seatbelt.
