A portion of the I-70 South Outer Road (otherwise known as Jade Road) will close this week, near Kingdom City.The non-continuous segment at Sallees Creek, east of Kingdom City, is scheduled to close today (Monday, May 12).

Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to begin replacing a large culvert that runs under Interstate 70 and both the north and south outer roads. Motorists will need to use at alternate route during the closure, which is expected to continue through February 2026.

This work is part of the first project in MoDOT’s Statewide Improve I-70 Program.
