A Saturday morning motorcycle accident has left a 73-yeard-old Jefferson City man dead.
According to a release from the Jefferson City Police Department, just before 9 a.m., officers were called to the eastbound lanes of Highway 54, near Route 179, where a 1976 Triumph Bonneville T140V motorcycle had overturned.
The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, failed to make a curve, lost control, and was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
