A Jefferson City man is behind bars, accused of raping a woman multiple times last year.

Prosecutors have charged 21-year-old Brendan Proctor with one count of first-degree rape and two counts of second-degree rape in Cole County.

Investigators say the alleged assaults happened between May and September of 2024.

According to court documents, the victim reported the incidents after leaving the state and feeling safe enough to come forward.

Proctor is being held in the Cole County Jail without bond. A court date has not yet been set.
