A Jefferson City man faces multiple charges after authorities say he threatened shoppers with a handgun outside a Dollar General on Sunday.
Willie Banks is charged with two counts of armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm due to a prior conviction, and first-degree trespassing.
Court records say a probable cause statement details the alleged threats in the store’s parking lot.
Police say Banks admitted to being a convicted felon and to possessing a gun during questioning.
He’s been labeled a flight risk and is being held without bond, with no court date set yet.
