Judge binds over Armour’s for trial

Monroe County Judge Talley Smith found probable cause to bind the two Paris women accused of harboring a man who got into a deadly shootout with law enforcement, over to circuit court for trial.

Talley ruled this afternoon in Monroe County Court that the state has probable cause in its case against 78-year-old Lois Armour, and 51-year-old Patty Armour, both charged with second-degree murder and hindering a felony prosecution.

Prosecutors allege the women helped conceal Charles Armour from law enforcement on the day he was involved in a fatal gunfire exchange with deputies.

Both women remain held without bond in the Randolph County Jail.
