The Callaway Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of The Local Lemon, a youth entrepreneurship program designed to introduce kids to the world of small business ownership.
This year’s program, presented by Central Bank, will run July 21 through July 24, with participants officially launching their lemonade stands on July 26.
Geared toward youth ages 10 to 16, The Local Lemon gives students the opportunity to learn what it takes to start, own, and operate a business, in this case, a lemonade stand. Over the course of four days, participants will explore real-world business topics including entrepreneurship, goal setting, product
choice, cost, location, marketing, funding, and customer service.
Applications are open now and must be submitted by July 8. There is no cost to participate, but space is limited
