A major fentanyl seizure in Columbia Monday as the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD)Vice, Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, in coordination with the North Missouri Drug Task Force, seized approximately 1.4 pounds of suspected fentanyl- enough to supply an estimated 6,350 user-level doses-and three firearms.
The drugs were taken after two search warrants were executed. 61-year-old Frazier Pratt, of Columbia, was arrested and charged with one count of drug trafficking and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, as little as two milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal depending on a person’s body size, tolerance and past usage, making this one of the most significant drug seizures in the area in recent memory.
