A 35-year-old Mexico man was killed in a three-vehicle crash early Wednesday morning in Audrain County.

The Highway Patrol says it happened around 6:45 a.m. on Missouri 22, about a mile and a half west of Route E.

Troopers say the 35-year-old man tried to pass several vehicles when his Ford Escape struck a tractor-trailer head-on.

The Escape’s driver was ejected as a result of the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.

The two semi drivers, from Paris and Fulton, suffered moderate injuries.
