Mizzou students spoke up—and Tiger Athletics actually listened!

After a social media storm over the new student section setup at Mizzou Arena, which pushed students farther away from the court, the university made some quick changes just in time for Monday night’s women’s basketball opener.

Athletic Director Laird Veatch had announced more courtside seats to bring in extra revenue, but the plan to move students back didn’t go over well online. Fans made plenty of noise—and it worked.

Now the student section is just one row higher than last season, keeping fans close to the court and the energy right where it belongs inside Mizzou Arena!
