Mizzou lawsuit over Homecoming hits Federal Court

The decision by UM System President Mun Choi to deny a groups application to march in the 2024 Homecoming parade comes to a head today in Federal District Court in Kansas City.

The University prohibited the “Mizzou Students for Justice in Palestine’s” request for a spot in the parade.
Attorneys with the Council on American-Islamic Relations are presenting oral arguments for the student organization today, seeking a preliminary injunction over MSJP’s prohibition from participating in this years Homecoming Parade, as well.

MU released new guidelines for Homecoming Parade participants yesterday, saying political messages will no longer be accepted.
