The Missouri Department of Transportation is planning to remove the barriers on Eastbound I-70 between Columbia and Kingdom City tonight, as crews will start moving eastbound traffic onto newly constructed lanes around 7 p.m. Friday. MoDOT expects traffic to be using the new eastbound lanes by Saturday morning.

As part of the change, the eastbound ramps at Route J in Millersburg will reopen after being closed for about three and a half months.  MoDOT says the new eastbound lanes took about  4,000 truckloads of concrete.
