
On January 1, 2026, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the New Florence area for an equipment violation. During the course of the investigation, the driver advised deputies that while being pulled over, he concealed a Methamphetamine pipe inside his girlfriend’s belongings. The driver stated he did so in hopes that she would be arrested after learning she had been unfaithful. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located a pipe containing approximately 0.5 grams of Methamphetamine. The driver was arrest, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On January 3, 2026, deputies observed a subject operating a vehicle in Montgomery City whom they knew to have a revoked driving status. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver. During the course of the investigation, the driver consented to a search of his person. The search resulted in the discovery of three plastic baggies containing Methamphetamine, as well as a glass smoking pipe commonly used to ingest methamphetamine. The subject was arrested, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Revoked

On 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound on State Highway 161 for speeding, 68 miles per hour in a posted 55 mile per hour zone. According to deputies’ reports, the driver failed to immediately yield and exhibited driving behaviors consistent with impairment, including lane weaving, crossing the centerline, and failing to maintain a single lane of travel. The vehicle continued eastbound before turning onto Sunbeam Road, where it eventually stopped. Deputies made contact with the driver and observed erratic movements and behavior consistent with impairment by illegal narcotics. During the investigation, the driver consented to a search of the vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of a plastic bag containing methamphetamine. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) responded to the scene and conducted a Drug Recognition Evaluation. Based on the evaluation, the DRE determined the driver was impaired and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the MC Jail. Upon arrival at the jail, deputies recovered an additional clear plastic bag containing methamphetamine from the driver’s shoe. The total combined weight of the recovered substances was approximately 𝟕𝟒 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬. On January 3, 2026, deputies responded to a residence in the Jonesburg area in reference to a domestic disturbance. During the course of the investigation, deputies determined the male subject became upset with an 11-year-old juvenile who had been poking him with a bat. The subject took the bat from the juvenile and charged toward him with the bat. The subject then threw the bat, breaking the glass on the oven. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported to the MC Jail, and charged with Domestic Assault.

On January 7, 2026, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding and failing to maintain a single lane of travel. Upon making contact with the driver, deputies detected a strong odor of an intoxicant coming from her person. The driver also displayed behavior consistent with impairment. Standard Field Sobriety Tests were administered. The driver initially complied and performed poorly on the first test; however, she subsequently refused to complete any additional testing. Deputies advised the driver she was under arrest. As deputies attempted to place her in handcuffs, she began resisting and pulling away from them. Once the driver was placed under arrest, she was transported to the MC Jail, where she refused to provide a breath sample for BAC testing. The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest.
