MU Health Care and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield have said they are open to negotiating and want to pursue meaningful conversations to reach an agreement.

On April 1st, MU Health Care and Anthem failed to reach a deal, and over 90,000 patients remain out of network.

Anthem says MU Health Care’s requested rate increase of 39% over the next three years is four times the rate of inflation.

MU Health Care Chief Operating Officer Tonya Johnson, said 39% was the first offer and that MU Health Care has lowered its requested rate.

The next negotiation is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 11, 2025.
