A federal judge in Kansas City has ruled that the University of Missouri must allow Mizzou Students for Justice in Palestine to march in this year’s Homecoming parade.
The decision came Friday from the U.S. District Court in Kansas City, after the student group sued UM System President Mun Choi for denying their 2024 parade application. Choi had cited safety concerns and a new policy barring political expression.
The court sided with the students, clearing the way for their participation in the 2025 parade, which kicks off at 9 a.m. on September 27 in Columbia.
