Just into the start of Fall semester, the MU campus went on lock down last night, when gunfire was reported in the 900 block of south Providence.

It turned out to just be a truck backfiring, that apparently sounded like a gunshot. Columbia Police and the MU PD both investigated the scene as a precautionary measure.
