A local charity drive in Jefferson City is wrapping up with strong results.
The Salvation Army, in partnership with Multipli Credit Union, raised twelve thousand six hundred forty dollars during the “Multipli the Cheer” campaign on December 20th.
Donors were invited to drop a single $20 bill into red kettle locations, and community contributions reached $2,640 before Multipli stepped in with a $10,000 matching gift.
That match effectively turned every $20 donation into $100 in support for food pantries, utility bills, emergency assistance, and other services for families in need this holiday season.
The Salvation Army says the effort highlights the power of the community coming together to meet ongoing needs.
