Night-Time Striping of I-70 to Start

The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin striping projects on Interstate 70 in Cooper, Boone, and Callaway counties beginning today (Monday, June 2). Work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. until July 1.

Motorists can expect a slow-moving caravan of trucks with flashing lights, boards with flashing arrows and signs that say “Wet Paint.” Motorists approaching the striping caravan are reminded to use caution and pass the caravan in the open lane to give the new paint the few minutes it needs to dry and prevent paint from getting onto vehicles.

All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
