Pope Leo XIV (14th) has announced a new bishop for the Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City.

The new bishop-elect is 55-year-old Fr. Ralph O’Donnell from Omaha, Nebraska, and he will be the fifth man to lead the Diocese.

The appointment comes three months after the previous bishop, the Most Rev. Shawn McKnight, was installed as archbishop of Kansas City, Kansas.
