U.S. ethanol production hits high as output surges to meet demand

U.S. ethanol production surged to an all-time high last week as producers try to meet expected demand. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.126 million barrels, per day, up 13,000 on the week and 53,000 on the year. Cash dairy prices mixed again Wednesday

Cash dairy prices were mixed again Wednesday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  Dry whey was unchanged at $0.73.  No sales were recorded.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were down $0.04 at $1.3950.  Five sales were recorded, ranging from $1.3950 to $1.40.  Cheese barrels were down $0.0550 at $1.4450.  No sales were recorded.  Butter prices were up $0.0050 at $1.4650. Five sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4625 to $1.4650.  Nonfat dry milk was up $0.0125 at $1.1575.  No sales were recorded.  The post Cash dairy prices mixed again Wednesday appeared first on Brownfield Ag News.     Continue Reading
