Cash dairy prices steady to lower Thursday

Cash dairy prices were steady to lower again Thursday at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  Dry whey was down $0.0050 at $0.78.  No sales were recorded.  Forty-pound cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.56.  Two sales were recorded at that price.  Cheese barrels were down $0.0075 at $1.6050.  No sales were recorded.  Butter prices were down $0.0025 at $1.4775. Seven sales were recorded, ranging from $1.4775 to $1.4850.  Nonfat dry milk was down $0.0025 at $1.1750.  Three sales were recorded, ranging from $1.1750 to $1.1775.  The post Cash dairy prices steady to lower Thursday appeared first on Brownfield…Continue Reading

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza continues to impact commercial poultry facilities in LaGrange County, Indiana. The Indiana State Board of Animal Health says the latest cases have been confirmed on four commercial egg layer facilities, a commercial breeder duck developer operation, and a commercial meat duck facility.
