Poultry production for July up on year

U.S. poultry production posted a year-over-year gain in July. The USDA says 4.628 billion pounds of poultry were certified wholesome last month, rising 1% on the year, as a 2% increase in chicken to 4.19 billion pounds more than canceled out a 2% decrease for turkey at 426.597 million pounds.
