More dry weather allows Wisconsin harvesting to continue ahead of schedule

Harvesting continued in Wisconsin last week as the dry spell continued.  Only scattered sprinkles fell across the state, as topsoil moistures dipped to 42% short and 31% very short. Apple harvest wraps up in Michigan

Harvest is progressing at a rapid pace.  The USDA says Michigan’s corn crop is rated 69 percent good to excellent with 62 percent harvested for grain. Soybeans are 91percent harvested.  Winter wheat planting is 89 percent complete, and 65 percent emerged.
