A growing winter storm is threatening to affect the back-end of the Thanksgiving holiday in Missouri and Illinois.
The National Weather Service in St. Louis is now saying the chances for accumulating snow have increased further south and now include the eastern I-70 corridor Friday night through Saturday morning.
There is still uncertainty about when and where a changeover to rain occurs for areas within roughly 50 miles of I-70.
A band of 1-3 inch snowfall could slip as far down as Hermann with 1-2 inches as far west as Columbia.
If you are planning on traveling this holiday weekend, keep an eye on the forecast.
