A preliminary hearing has been re-scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 5th for the Paris women charged with second-degree murder and hindering a felony prosecution in Monroe County.
The state requested more time for evidence discovery today in its case against Lois Armour, 78, and Patty Armour, 51.
The Armour’s are accused of hiding Charles Armour from law enforcement officers on the day he got into a deadly shootout with deputies.
The state was expected to present its case against Lois Armour today while Patty Armour was set for a bond hearing. Both women are being held in the Randolph County jail on no bond since their arrests.
Monroe County does not have a grand jury, so a preliminary hearing is held to see if the state can establish probable cause, and if so, move forward to a jury trial. The state will present evidence, and witnesses are expected to take the stand. The defense can also cross-examine during the hearing.
