Brush fire yesterday afternoon in Randolph County. Westran Fire Protection District responded along with aid from Salisbury Fire. Firefighters were dispatched to Highway 3, north of Thomas Hill and arrived on scene to find fire on both sides of the road.
The fire was extinguished, with crews being on scene for only 30 minutes.
Most of Missouri is either in drought or nearing drought conditions. Westran Fire Protection District reminded the public to be careful when discarding cigarettes or having an open fire during dry weather.
